Do you offer the DMV road test?
Yes. We offer the DMV road test. You must call to schedule an appointment.
How will I receive my driver's license if I take the road test with Calcutt's Driving School?
After testing with Calcutt's Driving School, you will be issued a code of verification for your passing score. You will take the code and your PDLA form to the DMV to get your photo taken and your vision checked. After that you will be issued your license.
Could I be required to re-take the road test when I get to the DMV?
The DMV reserves the right to re-test any student from any third-party tester. This is done randomly to ensure credibility of third-party testers.
Do I have to have my permit to attend the drivers education course?
No. You may take the classroom portion of the class without a permit. If you purchas the Beginner's Drivers Education Package, the permit test is included.
How do I sign up for a class, driving lesson, permit test, or road test?

Where are the beginner classes held?
The beginner driver class will be held at Williams Hill Church Fellowship Hall at 86 Williams Hill Road, Hemingway, SC 29554.
What areas do you serve?
We are located in the Hemingway, SC area and serve Hemingway, Johnsonville, and surrounding communities. Most of the behind the wheel instruction takes place in the Hemingway and Johnsonville areas; however we accept students who are willing to attend from nearby communities.
Is your classroom session offered online?
We currently offer in-person classroom instruction for the Beginner's Drivers Education Class. We plan to offer online instruction in the future.
Who is required to take the Beginner's Drivers Education Class?
Students aged 15-17 are required to have a drivers education class to obtain a SC drivers license. Our class includes the required 8 hour classroom instruction and 6 hours behind the wheel driving instruction.
How long must I have my permit before I can try for my license?
You must have your permit for 180 days before you can try for your license.
